***JAVA LAKE IS A PRIVATE LAKE***
JLC ROAD REPAIR: Several hillside roads at Java Lake may be occasionally closed for repair during the period of Thursday May 2 through Sunday May 5. They will not be closed for the full weekend, but we ask that you respect the closures to allow the Colony Volunteers to complete as much work as possible. Please respect those working on the roads as they are volunteering their time to make Java Lake a better and safer place.
Any questions should be addressed to Jim Feldmann at 716-997-0828 and not to the volunteer workers.
Reminder that there is a NYS Brush Burn Ban from March 16 ,2024 to May 14 , 2024. NYS is at risk every spring for wildfires. this ban is put in place so that homeowners do not burn brush and yard debris while they are doing their spring cleaning.
If you are a facebook user, please join the group "Java Lake Colony Official" we will use this group as another way to get information out to our community members
We also have a "Java Lake Buy and Sell" Facebook group. This allows you to put items up for sale and community members who are in the group can then see those items. This is basically a digital yard sale.

If you did not receive emails from the colony or would like to start receiving emails, please send us your name and email address, and Java Lake address to javalakecolonyinc@gmail.com. Also, please add this new email to you contact list. Emails are used for newsletters, events, docks in/out, and anything else the colony needs to communicate to its members. Please email us questions, concerns, general colony maintenance needs, thoughts on future improvements.

Water Quality News
Blue-Green Algae blooms are an annual concern. This is related to high phosphorous levels caused by the waste-water handling systems from lake residences and agriculture around the lake. Please Check out the NYS DEC website for more information https://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/77118.html
Java Lake Conservation Club
The Java Lake Conservation Booster Club was organized to provide events/activities to support and earn monies to promote the
upkeep and repairs to the Conservation Club building and grounds. Please check the Conservation Club Calendar page for a list of events and updates.
